Salman Khan reveals the inspiration behind his famous 'Tere Naam' hairstyle.
During an appearance on 'The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show Season 3', Salman Khan shared with host Kapil Sharma that the 'Tere Naam' look was actually inspired by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He also mentioned that actor Rahul Roy sported a similar hairstyle in one of his films. However, for 'Tere Naam', Salman felt that the long hair suited the image of a small-town hero. He explained that he believed small-town heroes traditionally had long hair, drawing inspiration from older-school heroes.
Salman's connection to Dr. Kalam extended beyond just hairstyle inspiration. Following Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's passing in 2015, Salman shared heartfelt tweets expressing his deep respect and admiration.
He tweeted, "I will miss Kalam saab. India will miss him."
Salman also described Dr. Kalam as a role model, tweeting, "Kalam saab was an amazing teacher and in his last tweet he said he is on his way to IIM... as scientist and as President, Kalam saab was a true inspiration for many generations of Indians."
In another emotional tweet, Salman expressed regret for never having met Dr. Kalam, saying, "When your heart says you should meet someone, don't delay. I always wanted to meet Kalam saab and I should have made the effort. My loss."
Salman Khan's decision to style his hair after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was more than just a creative choice; it was a subtle homage to someone he greatly admired. The hairstyle may have been a trend, but its origin lies in genuine respect.
