Priyanka Chopra Reveals Daughter Malti Marie's Surprising Taste in Music and a John Cena Mishap
Priyanka Chopra is actively promoting her upcoming film, "Heads Of State," which features John Cena and Idris Elba. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show," the actress shared insights into her busy life, including her daughter Malti Marie's surprisingly mature taste in music.
Chopra mentioned that Malti Marie is now attending school and has a busier schedule than her own. She also spoke about filming a movie in India while her family was in New York for Nick Jonas' Broadway commitments.
According to PC, Malti already has a taste for good music and is the "light of their lives," and also a little comedian. Recounting their recent Disney World trip, Chopra revealed that Malti loves wearing her Moana dress all day and that "Moana 2" is her current favorite film.
But Malti's interests aren't limited to Disney. She also has a surprising affection for the K-pop song "APT." Priyanka even sang a few lines of the song with Jimmy Fallon, mentioning that it's Malti's "morning anthem."
When Fallon inquired if Malti listens to the Jonas Brothers, Priyanka laughed and admitted that she doesn't think Malti recognizes them yet. Instead, she calls them the "Doughnut Brothers," a name that amused everyone.
Fallon joked about trademarking the name and creating "Doughnut Brothers" merchandise.
Transitioning to "Heads Of State," Priyanka shared a funny anecdote about accidentally offending John Cena. She explained that she was initially nervous about working with Cena but found him to be the opposite of what she expected. To break the ice, she made a joke referencing the iconic "You can’t see me" meme.
Priyanka recounted doing the pose in front of Cena during their first scene together. Idris Elba quickly signaled her to stop, later explaining that Cena doesn't appreciate the pose being done to his face. "I was like, now I’ve offended him," said PC.
