Samay Raina's "India's Got Latent" Returns to YouTube After Controversy
After a four-month break, comedian Samay Raina's popular YouTube talent show, "India's Got Latent," has made a quiet comeback through a new clips channel. This return comes after a controversy involving YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, which led to the original channel removing its content and facing legal action.
The Controversy That Took the Show Offline
Earlier in 2025, "India's Got Latent" was caught in a public and legal storm when Ranveer Allahbadia allegedly made an inappropriate comment to a contestant. The backlash was immediate, and FIRs were reportedly filed against Ranveer, as well as co-panelists Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani.
Samay responded by removing all episodes from his official channel and released a statement expressing exhaustion and regret. "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle," he stated. "My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time."
A Quiet Comeback With Loyal Support
The show's revival on a separate platform, "India's Got Latent Clips," has surprised the internet.
With over 500 reuploaded videos, including public and previously members-only content, fans are celebrating the show's return. The comment sections are filled with messages such as "Finallyyyyyyyy… comeback ho hi gaya Latent ka" and "Best comeback everrr."
While this revival is not a full-scale relaunch, it shows that the show's core community remains strong.
What's Next for Samay Raina?
While "India's Got Latent" is finding its way back on YouTube, Samay Raina is currently on an international stand-up tour that includes Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour began on June 5 and concludes in Sydney on July 20.
